CASCATA DI FOROGLIO

Cascata di Foroglio is a stunning waterfall near the village of Cavergno, located in the beautiful canton of Ticino. From the moment you arrive, you're surrounded by traditional stone houses and a peaceful alpine atmosphere that feels almost untouched by time. (more info bellow)

This is the perfect day trip! We traveled from Lugano by train to Locarno, and then took a one-hour bus ride to Cavergno and a 10 min. bus ride to Foroglio. (plan your trip her) From the village, there's a lovely trail leading up to a charming stone bridge, it truly feels like stepping into a fairytale.

In the village, you'll also find a cozy grotto if you'd like something to eat or drink, we stopped for a coffee and enjoyed the atmosphere. I also highly recommend walking down to the waterfall and dipping your feet in the ice-cold water. There's even a really cool swing nearby that you have to try!
